Margo Price was ready to issue her third studio album That’s How Rumors Get Started May 8th on her new label of Loma Vista Records. But like some other titles, the decision was made to delay the release due to the uncertainty around COVID-19. Now a new date has been announced, and a new song issued.
This year the Luck Reunion had an incredible lineup. But like everything else, it has been cancelled due to the Coronavirus. Nonetheless, they will be celebrating Thursday (3-19) with a live streaming event showcasing many of the artists originally scheduled to perform, and a few surprises.
David Ramirez, Devon Gilfillian, Early James, Edie Brickell, Ian Ferguson, Ida Mae, Jeremy Ivey, Jewel, Katie Pruitt, Lucinda Williams, Luck Reunion, Lukas Nelson, Margo Price, Matt Bizer, Micah Nelson, Nathaniel Rateliff, Nikki Lane, Paul Cauthen, Paul Simon, Randy Houser, Sunny War, SXSW, Tami Neilson, Thomas Csobra, Tre Burt, Willie Nelson
Margo Price is no longer signed with Jack White’s Third Man Records, and is now signed with Loma Vista Recordings. Ahead of the release of her third record, Margo Price has unveiled a new song called “Stone Me.” “After what feels like an eternity, I’m releasing a new song into the wild today,” Price says.
The only thing that sucked about Margo Price’s performance Tuesday night (1-19) on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is that her debut album is not due out until March 25th. It will be a cold, dark two months of toiling in the winter bleakness until traditional country fans will be delivered their reward for patience in the form of ‘Midwest Farmer’s Daughter’ through Jack White’s Third Man Records.
